Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed on to her son in the early years of his life.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several best-selling gospel singers.

Chris Oyakhilome Family Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon is following in her father’s footsteps of sharing God’s Word with the world. In addition, she is known as CSO as a singer, she is an award-winning, talented gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome studied in Edo College. He then won an award to study architecture in Bendel State University. He has an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and go into ministry.

When he was still at university, The Man of God established what would later become one of the largest churches around the world. He established an informal prayer group called “Youth for Christ” which would later become the most well-known organization of its kind on campus. This was also the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers all over the world.

Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite television and Christian television programming and production. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 a day, on free-to air networks. There are currently LoveWorld television stations that are available on satellite and cable networks throughout the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two Healing Schools that are located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris holds seasonally sessions that enable miraculous events to occur.

Music and Gospel Music are an important element of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a committed donor who established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) an independent, non-profit organisation with the aim of helping the most disadvantaged communities and individuals in the most impoverished regions and nations of the globe.

In addition to preaching the Gospel, the Man of God has also created a variety of non-profit organizations that have the mission of providing essential services and hope to the poor, needy or uninformed. COFI has five partners who have a common goal of raising living standards in the most underdeveloped areas.

Under the auspices COFI is the InnerCity Mission (ICM) for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to enhance the health, life and spirits of the most in need.
