Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving, committed parents. He is the eldest of three sons who was born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaboration between the entire family. Reverend Ken is his brother. He is the beloved minister of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College before winning a scholarship to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned a BSc in Architecture. He also received an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Chris has become an early pioneer in satellite television and Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast out of Africa to the rest of the world 24/7 continuously on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris’s home country of Nigeria as well as South Africa. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations who have all committed to improving living standards in the poorest areas.

COFI is responsible for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) along with the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve the lives and health of those in greatest need.
